About

Joel Edinberg is a Saxophonist, Composer, and Producer based out of Boston, MA. He currently runs the Somerville Symphony Orkestar, a six-piece gypsy-punk band, and tours with many other Boston based bands including the Van Burens and Ila Mawana. Once he graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Engineering Physics, he moved to Boston for a job. After five years of work, he left his engineering career to pursue music and has since had the opportunity to open for Kimbra, the Rebirth Brass Band, and Melvin Seals and the Jerry Garcia Band and has been featured on recordings for The Stepkids, Zox, Parlour Bells, Brother’s and Co., and Clinton Deagan. He also works as a composer and producer having his music featured on TV. You can hear his music played on the History Channel, Comedy Central, National Geographic, Telemundo, and MTV2 among others. He has assisted and engineered sessions for Drumhedz (Chris Dave), Dropkick Murphys, Greg Loughman, Ila Mawana, and Hadrian’s Heros.
